to rather recently, there are lots foreigners who are negative towards BONSAI. Because they regard it as unnatural and even cruel to trees. But then I think many of them realize that BONSAI often live for long time. So, today it's a very popular hobby.

in Japan BONSAI used to be considered as a pastime only for seniors. But these days, it's becoming popular with young people too as a cute green hobby.

BONSAI can command prices of millions of yen , the highly prized BONSAI are valued as represented a world or huge universe in a small space . The idea of compacting nature into a small space it seen in many aspects of Japanese culture.

BONSAI, with an estimated one million enthusiasts, is particularly popular with the older generations.

Even people who do not have large gardens raise BONSAI on shelves in front of their house. Chatting about heir creations and sharing tips with their neighbors.

The most common type are pines. various techniques are used to shape seeding in small pots. so that they will gradually grow to resemble wild trees.
